A New Life At The New Year !

What has happened

Much has happened since I was diagnosed rectal cancer in October 2020. I started off with chemotherapy, then went through high dose radiation both aimed at shrinking my tumor. Step 3 was the surgery to remove my rectum then 3 months later another surgery to close my stoma.

Each step requires decision to be made, which I always wondered if I had made the right ones. I went through days of low energy and appetite, continuous weight loss, surgical pain, scans with bad news and scans with good news. I noted changes and damages to my body from those “treatments”. In the meantime, I picked up information and knowledge on healing, diet, nutrition, stress management, lifestyle changes, and more.

I am learning every day.

My sincere thanks

I have been so grateful to have so many angels around me, offering medical, spiritual and work supports.

  • Cecilia my traditional Chinese medicine doctor has taught me so much and has been taking care of me from the beginning with herbs and needles, and with her kindest heart and amazing knowledge.
  • Jan helps me with lymphatic drainage and keeps filling me in information with exercising and nutrition.
  • Silke guides me through bioresonance therapy, an amazing technology which helps improving my conditions.
  • Asha assures me the importance of a keeping a positive spirit, meditating, relaxing, resting,
  • My girls in the office are just so wonderful keep delivering high quality results in my regular absence from work.
  • Yan, Bev, Shelagh, Toffff, Ada, Kiki, Glen and my dear dear friends give me the biggest hugs and support at all times.
  • And of course my mother who I cannot thank enough with words for the massive care she has been giving me.

Going forward

As I turned 60 few months ago, I celebrated my sixtieth by adopting a complete different lifestyle, and I eat differently. While things seem going fine, I don’t stop here but keep exploring and changing so as to make a better life ahead.

It took me a long while to try to make this e-blog working. Thanks to my princess (Heidi my daughter) who has helped with her IT expertise.

Happy New Year! I wish everyone and myself good health and a much much happier 2022.
